A significantly improved design

The 2024 GLA and GLB receive multiple exterior enhancements including LED high-performance front headlights and rear taillights while also getting new front and wheel designs. This new digital infotainment system layout integrates the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience. This advanced multimedia system can be configured to the preferences of the owner with three distinct display modes. The new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB also come with a 64-colour ambient light system.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB get the latest generation of MBUX as stated previously. This advanced infotainment technology provides owners with a wide range of features including the ability to control various settings using voice commands only. Moreover, both the GLA and GLB feature a new entertainment feature within the infotainment system with games such as Sudoku and a variety of quizzes that can be enjoyed by passengers on the road.

Both models have received more standard features as well. There are additional USB-C ports for added connectivity and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now offered. Buyers can also opt for a new 360-degree camera to further ease parking manoeuvres.

Mild-hybrid performance across the board

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB will be even more efficient than the current models that already set the standard in their respective segments for combining performance and fuel economy. Both models will feature a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder powertrain with 221 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. That said, both powertrains will now feature mild-hybrid technology with an additional 48-volt onboard power supply that connects with the belt driven starter generator. This system can briefly add an additional 10 kW of power or 13 hp in order to provide crisp accelerations and more dynamic overall performance. The mild-hybrid system also serves to create a more refined experience on the road by eliminating vibrations and reducing noise at startup.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA and 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB combine to provide one of the most appealing entry-level SUV offerings of any luxury automaker. The new and impressive 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC and GLB 35 4MATIC

The AMG versions of both models also receive their own improvements. Many of the improvements found on the more powerful GLA 35 4MATIC and GLB 35 4MATIC mimic what we find on the models described above. You can expect a noticeable exterior refresh and more interior luxury.

Part of the impressive changes that we see on both AMG versions include the latest generation of the AMG performance steering wheel which is now standard and includes touch control buttons that allow drivers to access all of the most important information that they need directly from the steering wheel.

Both models also get the latest generation of MBUX infotainment, and both models will also offer electrified AMG engines. Both the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC and 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC will feature the second-generation belt driven starter generator technology paired with a 48 V onboard power supply. This technology helps to make accelerations smoother and deliver better reaction times.

Both AMG small SUVs future a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain with an impressive 302 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC will reach 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds while the GLB 35 4MATIC reaches 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Every model will feature standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
